The vision for the Ageing Well in Knaresborough project is that all residents over the age of 65 are living the best life possible. Our mission is that they are connected to and engaged with community life, live well and achieve their potential, being independent for longer.

To achieve this we have identified three outcomes:

1. Older people in Knaresborough are more connected to their community
2. People in Knaresborough are able to live well and be independent for longer
3. Knaresborough VCSE has more capacity to deliver targeted support to older people living in Knaresborough and surrounding villages

We work with residents to ensure they are claiming all their entitlements to maximise their income, connect them with activities and events in the community to enable connection and friendships and activities to get the best out of their lives and provide information and advice on a wide range of subjects to ensure they are living the best life they can in their circumstances.
