Knaresborough & Harrogate Community Support Services

About
Helping older people stay independent for longer
Knaresborough & Harrogate Community Support Services (previously Age UK Knaresborough & District and Cliff House Community Support Services) started in 1997 with a mobile library service. Today, they offer a wide range of services to address the needs of frail older people and other vulnerable adults, enabling many of them to continue living independently at home for as long as possible.
KHCSS is now permanently based at Chain Lane Community Hub (they used to be based at Hilton Lane in town).
Their services will continue from the spacious and easily accessed Hub and these services include:
- Advice and Information on any issues affecting older people as well as advice and expert support planning with health and social care issues
- Support in people’s own homes to remain independent and avoid hospital admission or residential care for as long as possible including medication prompting preparing meals and all household tasks
- Day Care services including both outings and Lunch Clubs.
- Shopping Services
