Dancing for Wellbeing
About
Dancing for Well-Being is ideal if you find other dancing or exercise classes too much, for example, if you have mobility or balance problems, if you use a walking aid or a wheelchair, or if you find co-ordination or remembering moves difficult.
The aim of Dancing for Well-Being, above everything else, is to have FUN!
The business of getting older and/or having to cope with illness, disability, pain, bereavement, caring responsibilities can knock the stuffing out of us. It’s harder to go out and do activities we used to enjoy in the company of family and friends. We can start to lose our “social muscles” as well as our physical ones. Dancing for Well-Being exercises both sets of muscles as it always generates a lot of chatting and laughing among group members.
- You can dance SITTING or STANDING
- You can move at the level to suit your abilities and limitations
- You don’t need a partner
- You don’t need a good memory
Dancing for Well-Being is good exercise, it’s gentle and safe, it’s great for company and friendship, it’s relaxing and uplifting, but most important of all it’s FUN!
Groups meet weekly and cost £5 (including refreshments). If you are interested in joining us, please get in touch with Jax on 07453564983 / info@dancingforwellbeing.org
