Some services are charged for, but are great initiatives to ensure healthy food is accessible and helps the town to reduce food waste!

Low Cost Community Grocery

Community Stars Community Café

Meal Delivery Services
Harrogate Neighbours
An elderly meals delivery service delivers freshly cooked, hot, healthy meals to your front door. All their meals on wheels are prepared from fresh ingredients in their kitchen, and their catering team are dedicated to creating a variety of nutritious and filling meals. Delivered by their ‘Food Angels’, each meal comes packed in a microwavable container, meaning they can be eaten then or later in the day.

National Initiatives
Too Good To Go!
Too Good To Go’s focus is to help save good food from going to waste. By doing so, they help businesses unlock revenue from their surplus and help consumers enjoy good food at great value for money. Several shops, supermarkets & restaurants are signed up to this initiative locally. Bags of food can be purchase from £1.50 (depending on store) daily.

Olio
Olio’s mission is to reduce waste. An international initiative operating in our local area. Specifically focusing on reducing food waste, supermarkets in the area have signed up to Olio and offer free food on a weekly basis. The app also provides a place to claim free household items too.
